One of this is because it provides a number of safety features such as an over charge cutoff and a data port to communicate with a cell balancer. The balancer data link cable is included. When using a balancer such as the Thunder Power 205V or 210V, the 1010 charger will provide an imbalance cutoff and allows you to monitor each individual lipo cell in the battery
